Online Alternative Learning Center

This site serves as the learning management system for the Bristol Tennessee City Schools alternative school in grades 7 - 12.  Though the online nature of a virtual school is obviously different from the traditional classroom experience in a bricks-and-mortar school, we have committed the resources necessary to ensure that students participating in this virtual alternative school have the same learning opportunities as their peers.

The curriculum delivered via this system is parallel to that in the traditional classroom although these courses have been specifically designed to take advantage of the benefits inherent in an online setting.  Furthermore, students are provided with everything they need to participate in the program, including a computer and high-speed internet access.

While students may access their studies from the comfort of their home, they are never alone.  We have qualified and dedicated faculty behind-the-scenes monitoring student progress, serving as a resource in case students have questions or problems, and providing necessary services, such as those identified on individual educational plans.
